Cre8ors' Power Legal Services supports, encourages, and assists in fighting for equality in the entertainment industry by helping creatives recognize their rights and be free to capitalize on their own work, thus, increasing their bargaining power. Cre8ors' Power Legal Services goal is to contribute to the increase of meaningful work and more representation for all in the Entertainment Industry.
As is commonly known, only a few studios have been influencing Hollywood negotiations and work practices for decades. During those decades, and to this day, we have experienced allegations of sexual harassment & discrimination, racial discrimination, and child abuse. Moreover, the Studios refuse to provide adequate and safe working conditions, work-life balance, and equal pay.
Unfortunately, despite the #MeToo Movement, the incarceration of Harvey Weinstein, and Unions that attempt to protect performers and staff, Studios and some independent producers continue their tyranny. Moreover, Studios, with their lack of empathy, compassion, and gratitude toward those that made them millions, fight tooth and nail to share the profits.
Cre8ors’ Power Legal Services knows that Creatives are underestimated and underappreciated in the entertainment industry. With pay gaps in the millions and quality work reserved only for a chosen few, Cre8ors' Power Legal Services commitment is to zealously advocate and help educate Creatives, so that Creatives can build an independent and prosperous future with their own work, especially those from underserved communities. It is time to give the Studios competition, and ensure that work practices change.
